Just to let you all know that I am now part of Allans web site. For those that were in WA for the reunion will no doubt be as impressed as I was. Have just received the DVD and Photo from the Ball.
Memories all came flooding back.
If anyone gets up our way ( Townsville) give me a call and we will have a coldie.

Reunion
July 26th, 2010Hi all,
I thoroughly enjoyed the reunion, caught up with quite a few people and missed seeing some that I would have liked to catch up with.
I looked at the memorial and am glad now that I am a part of the history of JRTE and the Navy in general.
I look forward to seeing you all at the next 50 year reunioin…
Cheers
Stan
Happy Reunion Next Week!
July 8th, 2010Please have a drink for me! I am no longer attending, and probably will regret it. I’m actually working (still).
Have a great time catching up with all the grey heads! I intend to keep this site operational and would appreciate some photos from the reunion to post.

We are back!!!
March 19th, 2010Some dirty little critter had hacked the Leeuwin3rd site which would have taken you (hijacked) to other sites that you didn’t want to go to! Hopefully it is OK now. I still have to restore the page image.

Welcome Paul Bownas
February 3rd, 2010Dear Pony,
I am delighted to be able to contact someone from Leeuwin who was there in ‘61. I was in Mokare Division and some of the names I can remember are: “Pincher” Martin, “Dobber” O’Brien, “Butch” Buchanan, “Sprog” Sporer, “Greasy” Kox, Clive Wilson, Charlie Back,
David Tibbitts, Max Hasson, Barry Cross, and, although I can’t remember his correct name, no-one in the 3rd. intake will ever forget “Tarzan”, particularly during the boxing! Some of the staff I remember were CPOs Utting, Darby Munro, and who could ever forget the very delightful Wally Owen?
I would particularly like to hear from Dave ”Dobber” O’Brien and Clive Wilson, but would be happy to hear from anyone who might remember me?
best wishes,
Paul “Bones” Bownas
