Derek Hasel remembers the good times rowing and sailing on the Swan. I agree it was fun but it was HARD WORK!

Having had a daughter as an Australian International rower the crew above are really crook! The man in the bow has “caught a crab” where he has dug the oar in at such an angle that it wouldn’t come out of the water! But no one told us these things did they?
G’day Bob Hall – a long time since the Sydney and Tarangau and great to know you’re still around. Must be because you’re a Queenslander!. Pity we had to let the cockroaches win a game in the State of Origin but they’re the breaks. Give me a yell if you’re ever down Rocky way.

Robert – your new comment arrived and I had this flash of memory recall as to who you were – I think I have it (mental picture that is)!
I last saw Terry Martin in 1974 driving a hire car near the Domain.

Looking forward seeing you all next July. Has any one heard from Terry Martin, Neville Samson. Murray Higgins.
The photo of “rowing” on the Swan, certainly bought back old memories, one would have hoped that we all improved by the time we exited the gates of Leeuwin to join the “other NAVY”
